about

Inspired by the duo of Peter Schreier and Konrad Ragossnig, Denver Art Song Project revisits the tenor and guitar arrangement of "Die schöne Müllerin" (Op. 25, D. 795).

The Denver Art Song Project was founded in 2015 to provide a home for professional art song performance and recordings by Colorado artists. Its primary mission is to introduce new audiences to the art song genre through engaging performances that use narration and video projections that will entertain, educate and illuminate. Denver Art Song Project also produces albums featuring Colorado musicians to create a legacy of music that can be shared easily across the country and the world.

Eapen Leubner repertoire ranges from Mozart to cutting-edge 21st Century concert music. Eapen has premiered roles in "The Astronaut's Tale" by Charles Fussell (Stage premiere at Brooklyn Academy of Music) and "Dierdre" by Sameer Ramchandran (World Premiere). Known for his lyric voice and comic timing, Eapen has sung Nemorino in "L'elisir d'amore" and "Die Fledermaus" with Opera Fairbanks, "Cosi fan tutte" with Boulder Opera Company and Tri-Cities Opera. Eapen has sung on the concert stage from Carnegie Hall (Mid-America Productions) to Albania (Tre Tenoret). When he is not working on the stage and creating art song performances, Eapen can be found skiing with his wife and kids in Colorado.

As both a guitarist and an audio engineer, Michael Bevers, brings a versatile and unique skill set to the table. A graduate of the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music, Michael studied both classical guitar and audio engineering. As a guitarist, he was awarded the Dorthe Garrett Carillo Award for Outstanding Graduating Guitarist and his junior recital was nominated for a recital of distinction. Upon graduation he was hired by the University of Denver to supervise and manage all concert recording and production and he soon ended up working at HyperThreat Sound LLC, a boutique recording studio in Parker, Colorado. He spent the summer of 2018 as a senior engineer at the prestigious Aspen Music Festival and School, and is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Recording and Production at Middle Tennessee State University. Simultaneous to his work as an audio engineer, Michael is a member of Duo Colorado who released their debut album in December 2017. In spring 2017, Duo Colorado travelled to the Dominican Republic to perform the music of Excier J. Rodriguez.
